Time to NELSAP while we have the snow. Mt Tom was extra special since we had a gang and I used to work there in the 80's.

Nice!
Mount Tom is a special place for me since my first date with my wife was skiing there in March 1985.
Also I grew up 30 minutes south of Powder Ridge so I was often there night skiing back in the early 80s.

Great video! I still can't beleive Mt. Tom closed. Didn't they remove a bunch of the lifts as well?

And any hopes of it opening again. :???:

I seem to recall reading about a land dispute between the ski area and the quarry right next to it. I dont remember any details but the essence I took is that Mt Tom Ski Area will never again be.

Saddens me too, I learned to wedge there sometime around 1980. "Always white, day or night"

Skidmarks, you must have some great 80's era pics! :)

The ski area property was split up into multiple lots with different owners...highly unlikely that it'll ever reopen.
