I'm at home for the holiday and took a ride up to E. Burke to drop my skis off and visit the mountain.

Things are set for a Dec 10th opening I hear.

As for snowmaking:

-The trails are all mowed and cleared. Some brush has been cut back on Lower Fox's and Warrens.

-The pond was full and then some.

-The compressors and generators are all set.

-Hoses were out on the hydrants. Just need some cold air!

-The Quad was ready to rock and roll.

My sister's BF works snowmaking, so look for some great insider info from him  They worked for three days this past week before they were told to take the "rest of it off" due to the temps. I did peek inside the shop through the garage window--nice, clean, set up. Just need the cold air.

A drive to lower lodge found them bulldozing the far end of the parking lot for snowmobile trailers and adding some more fill.

The new condos are also springing up (Powderhorn). Making progress!

Cannon looked bare as I drove by this AM. Raining and cloudy there. As of 9pm, pouring here in the NEK.

Snow is on the way though!

Pat's Peak is still saying next weekend for opening.[/b]
