Got these pics and Email from Bill Swain this morning:

Actually, it’s a great morning to be in ski country. We’ve had heavy snow all morning that has left 3-4 inches at the base of the mountain, which is 1700 feet. There is considerably more at higher elevation, in the range of 6-8 inches, above 2500 feet. Attached are a couple of photos that show how hard it was coming down at about 11 am.

Opening day is Nov. 17.

Ga2ski has no idea what he's talking about. ;)

I've been a member here for almost 4 years i think (spanning college to my 3rd resort with years lurking prior) - I liked being a skier/rider, not a mtn rep, when it comes to alpinezone forum fun. Deal?

Folks have a question for me..they can chime in at SR chat, or hit up the Challenge.

My cover's officially blown, but hey, it's been a good run. It's not like I was doing much with it to begin with, just chiming in with weather observations and stuff when it was puking snow, which I'll still do to feed the stoke.

And yeah, snowboarding was siiiiccccck this am in Jordan.

My son works at SR in the garage on the groomers, and I had to help him put snow tires on his truck last night so he can get to work ok! They got about 2" at Barker base yesterday with more expected all week! SWEETTTTT! :daffy:
