you're right there are not alot of people moaning, just one. but he is complaining so much it seems like an army.
as far as the rest of your post, did you ski last weekend? if not, thats your fault. there were options closer to you than killington. Killington didnt open, I realize that and thank the few but vocal critics of powdr for the non-stop barrage of complaints about everything under the sun. If you want to piss and cry about powdr all year, go nuts, but i'm going to go ski killington and make my own decision about it. You might want to try the same thing. Or not. Its obviously your choice.
sorry if that sounds harsh but all this stuff has been stated before, repeatedly. Killington is open, you've voiced your displeasure many many times. If you dont like it, dont go there.
well, I was there yesterday. quality grooming? I don't know. It looked nice for the first couple hours but grooming wasn't what impressed me. Everything else did. I was there from 7:45 to 12:45 and if my legs could have taken more I would have stayed until the last chair. Conditions were great, lifties and mountain personnel were probably the most pleasant I've ever seen, and the biggest surprise -- CROWD management. That's right, first saturday of the year and it seemed as if I was sharing the mountain with 12 other skiers/riders. I never waited in a lift line more than 3-4 minutes, and most times it was more like less than a minute. I don't think it was because there wasn't tons of people there, it seemed more that they spread everyone out well. They were skipping chairs on the snowdon triple, which helped keep the crowds down and it worked great. At the top there were several options for trails and basically they all funneled down to 2 or 3 main trails back down to the bottom. So really only 2-3 T2B trails, but having all the options at the top made it seem like different runs each time. Trails had great coverage, there was about 4" natural on trails without snowmaking (2-3" more inches and a lot more would have been fair game). Tons of trails with guns going all day (well at least until 12:45), they look like they are going to expand big time, with good coverage. I have pics and if I find the motivation I will post up a TR later today.
