I just had a quick question on strattons lift system. Looking at the stats of their trail map there is no mention if their quads are high speeds or fix grips. They have a total of three quads, I haven’t been there in a good 5 -7 years and I know a lot has changed. Thanks

Cheers ,

I can think of at least one high-speed quad, one high-speed six-pack and the gondola (forget how many they can pack into each gondola car), but the gondi isn't slow either.

I was there today. There were only 4 worthwhile lifts open. The gondola, which took at least 15 minutes from ticket scan to summit, URSA, a hellish 6-pack at midmountain, A 6 pack from the sunbowl, and the American Express 6 pack from the base. There was also a slow quad in the learning area, which we found ourselves on once and had to hike to escape. There were three closed upper mountain lifts that I REALLY wish had been open. There were lines, so they must only run these on weekends.

That's the thing that bugs me about Stratton. They say they have all these trails open, yet during the week they don't run the lifts that allow you to get to them easily. I haven't been there at all this year because of that, even though my Okemo pass is good there. If I were paying the price they pay for a daily lift ticket, I'd be royally POed.

We didn't really spend much time in the Sunbowl, but all of the snowbowl runs were accessible. You just have to tack on a bit of a run out at the bottom to make it back to the much derided Gondola.
