Hit Ragged Mountain up Saturday with my son and his wife, Mike and Alexis. Their first time out this year. My first time in New Hampshire this year. Arrived at 9:00 to a great parking spot! Beautiful day, not real sunny, but not much wind either. A little “cool” on the lifts. Booted up and was skiing about 9:30. Took a run with Alexis off a lower double chair, then headed to the Summit with Mike on the six-pack. Lines looked pretty long, but after a minute in the singles line the “Coral Lady” was calling (6) singles onto a chair! Of course I told her she rocked and right then I knew this would be a great day! She has been mentioned in previous posts and is “New England ski area employee of the year”. Every hill would be fortunate to have someone like her. Never saw an empty seat on the 6-pak, and she kept that singles line moving swiftly! Did Birches, Sweepstakes and Reggae Glades off the six-pack. All had medium size bumps which were great for me – like hero bumps. Plenty of edge-able snow. Those trails were pretty much empty. Most of the “crowd” was there for the race.
Found Alexis and took the easy run down Spear. Good time cruisin’ with the kids. They headed in for lunch as I took one more run into Rags-to-Riches. Fun Glade.
Lunch in Tallulah’s was excellent. The $4.00 Long Trail Ale special didn’t hurt either!
After Lunch headed back up the 6-pak. They headed down a groomed Ridge while I loosened up on Reggae Glades again. At the lift Alexis was beat and dropped out. After one more run down Birches Mike bailed. Dad did a few more runs down Sweepstakes and Birches and called it a day at 3:45. Great hill. Very light traffic on the hill for a Saturday. Kudos’ to Ragged for leaving plenty un-groomed to play on! Definitely will go back!

Def agree, rags 2 riches is a fun glade. My favorite is sweepstakes, its fun with the bumps and the mid section where have a small ledges/bowls so that you can ski up and down that trail...really a fun trail. reggea glades, a nice place with moderate pitch, once its bumped up, great place to learn or just take it easy with the bumps. Damn... been too long since I was up there.

I was over at sunapee sunday which was close proximity to Ragged, no rain but we had snow showers. On time visibility was near zero due to the fog and snow.
