Great makeup day at Ragged. This was a free day for me as when I visited Ragged back in February, the wind knocked out the power at about 11am so they gave everyone a voucher for another day. Because they were running the 6 pack till 6pm, I got to sleep in and still get a full day of skiing.

I arrived slightly before noon, and headed straight for the glades. All the glades skied very well with occasional rough spots and snow snakes. The trails both groomed and natural were in excellent shape. I got my first ever "Core Shot" on cabin fever, there is a first time for everything.

The weather was all over the place between heavy flurries when i arrived, to sun, to cloudy, back to a few flurries, and sun to finish just before 6pm. Also there was a good breeze throughout, at least it did not knock out the power this time. Overall a perfect Ragged day where everything skied so well all day that there is no reason to go to a bigger mountain

Ditto for me except I paid. I came for a four hour half day at 2. Skiing was fast and furious. I was hoping for the perfect late light Ragged gets about 4 PM but it didn't come until about 5:45. I didn't let that slow me down. I got 3 more runs in that last 15 min.

The light at the end there really was beautiful with barely anyone else on the mountain.

We had to have crossed paths somewhere, xlr8r. You're not the guy who's gonna take his plow off to make it snow more are you?

The place was fairly empty when I got there about 2 o'clock. People were leaving in a steady trickle about that time too. Compared to two weekends ago it seemed like someone turned the skier spigot off. There were only short waits for the six pack but the triple was ski on all afternoon. From 4 to 6 only the six pack was running and it was ski on. If you bombed your runs you could pretty much do one run every 5 minutes which I think I did for the last half hour at least.
