That is a badge of honor. What trail?

Got a basement full of those but all on the edge. Never been able to get the p tex to stick on the edge.
You have to use the weld not ptex for edge damage and for holes like this. Even then it is hard to get it to stay.
Not sure which trail, I'll try to find out from him.

I use special ptex that is a mix of poly and glue.

Great day with the kids. Been nobody there, u12 has been training with coaches all week. U8 skiing with dad.

Coaches called the SL training early to free ski woods. Best was probably moose, not too shabby lived up to its name, the ladies tee into pels was fun if scratchy. Never made it to the tree hugger side, six year was gassed by mid afternoon. Back at it tomorrow.

Get your classic yankee runs in while you can.

Was informed today, the mountain plans to widen yankee this summer to host GS next year. The area known as 'the narrows' will be widened up to an additional 30 - 40'. Plan to skid out the trees before the snow melts.

Thanks sorry I just assumed they already raced GS there. Seems like a crummy SL hill with Showboat next door.

current race director does not like to set courses or hold event on showboat, mountain requires they pull the b-net on skiers right when open to public. B-net on yankee is set it and forget it, unless of course it snows. I have helped pull and reset b-net on yankee, serious task that I would not want to do regularly on showboat.

NHARA western division turn to host u12 and u14 champs next year. Sunapee can host one of the age groups but only other current option is dartmouth, they do not have the infrastructure for an event of that scale. Likely the reason Yankee gets widened this spring. 200 athletes with their families in mid march should be a good weekend for the mountain.

Edit: NHARA made the decision to run champs in Central division this year presumably as a make up for the covid year, gunstock and either pats or crotched. West division will be 2025.

I missed this bit of news as I was nursing a torn hamstring that I received exiting Rags at the end of January. I hope my eyes don’t explode out of my head when I finally see it.

Was no sign of work on yankee when we were last there in June. Possible it got delayed a year or i got bad info. Only major project I am aware of this summer is new haul rope on barnyard.

My opinion - if they have any hope of selling a bunch of houses they will need to be lift served. Junction of new canada and access road is likely the best spot but need to cross a road.

The way people are snapping up houses here I don’t think having a lift would be necessary unless every buyer is expecting a seasons pass to go with their new home. To put it another way: I really don’t think all the buyers will be or need to be skiers.

Couldn't find a better Ragged thread.

I was at the mountain today, lots of activity going on. Things look good for their planned 12/1 opening. Blueberry Patch down through Lower Chute/Village green is buried. They were hauling any portable gear off of it for the cats to start working. They need some more time on Main Street and were setting up to do so.

Most interesting is that the old HKD towers from Cardigan that were replaced last year have been moved to Easy Winder. This could be nothing more than getting equipment off the ground, but it is interesting regardless. Up to last year that trail was missing some pipe sections and had no valves. We shall see what happens there.

Snowmaking on easy winder is the logical next step and would be a huge improvement. Would take a massive amount of snow, not sure their current setup could get it open before February. They have maybe ten moves now? Easy winder probably two moves? No idea how it would fit in.

Blueberry vg/ms route
Newfound/upper ridge/crew cut
Barnyard/lower cardigan
Yankee
Showboat
Cardigan
Wild ride
Lower ridge
Birches
Exhibition

I don’t ever remember Ragged making snow on Easy Winder. More likely to get Newfound Ridge, then Wild Side before switching over to Flying Yankee. Used to get Exhibition open first now it’s always last.
