What does everybody think of the move to get Moss, their new draft picks and other offseason moves?

He needs Pats more than they need him. LT was no choir boy in NY but Bill B. worked with just fine as the defensive coordinator.

If they can harness the ability, in a league that values shut down cornerbacks, he has the ability to make the best DB's look silly.

With Dillion gone, running game will not be smash type so Moss allows you to spread the field allowing Morooney more room, you won't be able to put 8 men in the box.

Great move by the Pats. He will play hard for them like he did in Minnesota. He never wanted to be in Oakland and it showed with his preformance. My bet is a huge year for him.

He took a big pay cut to play here, hopefully that's a good sign...

Plus Stallworth, K. Brady and their new LB - Thomas they certainly look a lot stronger than last year.

GREAT MOVE!

If he sucks, cut him and move on. Like an above poster already said, he needs the Pats, more than we need him. If his recent 40 times are legit and he's motivated, New England could have the best year offensively that they've ever had. The combination of he and Stallworth on the outsides will create fits for opposing defensive coordinators and open up the middle big time for Watson, Welker, Faulk and Maroney. On paper, New England has the most weapons of the Belicheck era by far right now.

It's a great move if he truely wants to be here and win. He is one of only a few ever who can beat double teams with consistancy. Being a packer fan along with a pats fan and watching him just tourch tha Pack often it was a great day when he left Minn. If he can bring the same level of play to the patriots it will mean only 7 or 6 in the box for the running game and single coverage on everybody else.

Plus only a fourth round pick. It is a no brainer.

He should be a good pick-up for the first year, I wouldn't trust him to end-up any differently than the T.O. experiment in Philly. Excellent production in the first year, then back to the antics in year 2.
I wouldn't be too excited about Stallworth either. He's a good receiver with good speed, but he has a tendency to drop the easy ones, and he's not good to go for a full season. Expect to see him on the bench for a 1/3 to 1/4 of the season.

The Pats have not had a deep threat since Dave Patten and Bethel Johnson. I think that hurt their running game for the past two seasons. It still amazes me that Brady can still spread it out and limits his mistakes with the group of receivers that can not stretch the field.

I can't wait till training camp. Only thing keeping me sane now that ski season is over.

Moss and Stallworth can get cut. The contracts are not guaranteed, I forgot the signing bonus Stallworth got.

Interesting !

I always hated him before, but now we'll see what a genius like Bill B. can do with him. They basically STOLE him. And a much needed safety in Meriweather...another gamble ; but---
IT LOOKS LIKE BRADY WILL BE GETTING ANOTHER SUPERBOWL RING THIS YEAR !

Honestly, I hate the guy almost as much as T.O., but Belichick won't put up with his crap so hopefully he just shuts up and plays well. If he performs to his ability, we may be looking at just about the best pass offense in NFL history, as well as a more opened up running game.
