^That run was amazing on Saturday morning and was still freaking fantastic on Sunday. Its been quite a while since I have seen that much snow there. My buddy did a header just above the lower ledges and when he went to use his pole to help him get back up the whole pole went down into the snow.

i've only skied that section once in my life and it was boney to say the least. that day, the coverage was spectacular and still, even being pretty much the first people down it, it wasnt gonna be skiable (i understand thats subjective) for long.

based on those pics, i'd imagine it will stay skiable for a long long time.

It was ridiculous. I noticed the biggest difference on the mt on Black Magic from Wed>Sat. Wed, the big hit was still a big drop to uphill poof (riv hit it) like it usually is. By Saturday it was 1/4 the size, to a sloped landing (unless you really sent it to the flatter part). Unreal.

The full results are supposed to be up later today somewhere on the Magic website.

Due to the amount of snow there really was nothing technical about the "course". Just a few small patches of rock were showing through.

At one point the whole thing was delayed because a photographer fell and couldn't get up (he wasn't on skis at the time). Ski patrol had to come up with a rope to help him out. I guess that's a good indication of how deep the snow was in spots .

I had never skied Black Magic prior to this past Wednesday. From every time I had ridden up the Black Chair, it look pretty damn hairy. On Wednesday last week, it was easier to ski than Red Line or Master, I couldn't even believe it.

It was skiing really well and easily still on Sunday. We hit it from the top as well as Redline and Master. Even the snowmaking pipe at the top of Master was completely buried. But, to be honest, we really didn't spend that much time on the trails....the Woods at Magic are just too unreal!!!

Thanks! I told my wife I was doing it, so I had to follow through .

The recent snow pretty much eliminated all technical aspects of the course. The most difficult thing was the length. I was just barely hanging on for the bottom half (my stamina stinks) and was happy just to make it down without crashing.

The only negative was standing around for so long when the rest of the mountain was skiing so good.
