This is the official Rest In Peace NYDrew's Dynastar 63 skiis thread.

I only had you for four monthes, but it was a good four months that we shared 26 days together. A few days in Vermont, a few days in the bumps and a few in the trees. We even scored some nasty times in the course and to think of the countless people you helped teach how to ski for the first time and those who just wanted to get as good as us. At least our last day together had great weather and conditions, we even got to tear up some bumps on our last few runs together. I don't think I'll ever like another ski as much as I loved you. Rest in Peace my friends.

Planned retirement after 26 ski days?1? Who do you think I am? Bill Gates? (just kidding)

This was the best FUBAR ive ever seen done to a pair of skiis in one shot thats short of snapping them in half. (or concrete skiing...ive actually seen it done)

3x7cm gaping hole in the base right down to the core. Smashed Sidewall and the best part was the undamaged edge buckleing 1.5cm laterally off of the ski. (you can stick your pinky inbetween the edge and whats left of the sidewall)

My boss thinks he might be able to fix it, but I am almost positive that the RIP will stand.

here's the update so im told...nothings definate till I see them wit my own eyes on saturday.

After successive attempts with CPR and defibulation, my boss claims to have revived my skiis. False alarm, I think not. I never seen a ski survive the damage mine had, i cant believe it.

I was right, skiis are dead. The repair didn't even hold for one run....and ripped out more of the edge.

Too bad.
