In Rocky VI, a lonely, poverty-stricken Balboa comes out of retirement and looks to keep his hand in with a few low-profile fights.

But his return to the ring causes a media frenzy and a promoter comes up with the idea that he should fight the heavyweight champion, Mason 'The Line' Dixon.

Mason 'The Line' Dixon? That right there guarantees this will be one cheezy flick.

Can't be any worse than Rambo, Part IV:

Rocky will signal something of a renaissance for 59-year- old Stallone, who will turn 60 during filming, and comes as he attempts to revive his other career-defining role, Rambo.

The fourth film in that series is currently in pre-production and will also be produced by Stallone.

One of the Rocky movies was filmed in Jackson Hole. We were going thru a warm spell so they had to spray foam on the house to make it look like winter. It was the one where he fought the russian guy.

Stallone is such a tool. While many celebrities are in the valley almost unnoticed he always drove in town with a convoy of black limos and walked around with an entourage of at least 10 people.

Rocky VI? Who's he going to fight? Senility or Fixodent?

Mason "The Line" Dixon. That's hitting pretty close to the racism line, I'm thinking. Cheesy, and stupid. Chupid? Steesy?

While I respect the man for singlehandedly writing, directing and producing, and just getting the first one off the ground at all...

Please, it's time to hang up the gloves. It was time after Rocky III. A trilogy of the movies was fine, but this is not Star Wars.

After failures like Judge Dredd he is just retreating back to what has brought him success in the past.

The sad thing about squeezing every dime from what was originally a fresh, new, exciting idea or storyline is that not only does it hurt the later, crappy movies, but makes people resent the early ones as well.

The same thing happened for me with the TV show 24. I watched the first season and thought it was a great new concept. I like it for the fact it was a unique, one time thing. Something that would really be remembered. When I heard they were making another run, a "second season," I never continued watching because I resented they would sacrifice a great piece of TV storytelling and showmanship to the almighty buck.

I'm not naive enough to not understand why they do it, I just don't like it. But this is from a consumer and not a producer.

Edit: typos
