What a difference a day makes! Friday at Cannon was awesome. Freshies and new manmade made for great day. Today, hard eas the word. Upper mtn. skied okay. Gary's and Rocket were hard ice. Zoomer was slightly better. Avalanche was the best.

BTW, people are idiots. A group of people were standing in the box and left a gap on the far side from loading. I had tell them to move to let the rest of the people on. It was a fairly full box. Some people just don't get it. It was my first ride and lat run from of the day from the top. Fox25 was filming in the summit haus. Look for me if they show it. Puck it in da haus!

Bummer. Sorry we did catch up with you today. Saturday was decent, but I figured to today would be exactly what you described. Slush and light rain by mid-day Saturday definitely wasn't boding well for today.,

Had a fun day at Cannon on Sat..Cannonball srry we didnt meet up I was keeping my eyes out for ya but didn't run into you.
Soft snow all day again felt like Late March skiing. Better coverage then our trip up on 12/26 and it was nice to see a bit more of the mtn. Only lift lines were at Zoomer (3 mins at most)

Really impressed with Cannon, don't know why it took me so long to finally discover it being a NH resident for the last 15 yrs and avid skier my entire life. Regardless, I know it now and am sure glad I do. I especially like how you can ski the mountain in pods and that the steeper terrain is both on the top like most mtns and bottom (zoomer)
Other than Pico (A slope) that I've personally been to I can't think of other mtns that have a small ridge/mini peak at the bottom that offers fun, steeper terrain. Typically mtns get flatter towards the bottom.

$49 tickets thru the B+B we stayed at worked out nicely.

That is great! If you've been impressed on the 2 days you've had this year, wait until you hit when it's good! Looked for you too Saturday. But we made it a fairly short day given the conditions and lack of open terrain. What was open skied pretty well, with Vista Way and Avalanche being the highlights. They made some odd choices in the trail openings that complicated the available routes. But overall a decent day.

I'm at Cannon now. Was expecting sunshine but it's fully overcast with firm conditions. I'm pretty gun shy because of a recovering knee and I'm a bit of a mess today. The light out there is flat as hell.

I guess you've never skied lower Ovation or Superstar at Killington. Or for that matter Highline, Chop Chop or Conclusion also at K.

I like Canon too it's just a little out of the way for me. I've skied there maybe a 1/2 dozen times over the years. On a nice day eating lunch at that table & bench along side the trail up on the mountain is enjoyable & very scenic.
