Hey all,

In Bretton Woods this weekend. I must say that things are not so bad, but if Roamer's forecast for the next week or two pans out, I am afraid for New England. Seems he does not always go for snow and good conditions like some contend.

You should listen to one of his broadcast's on his site regarding the upcoming weather pattern http://www.bestskiweather.com/modules/view.php?file=ZC9kcndlYXRoZXIvMTgwLm1wMw==

I think Roamer can be a pompus ass, but at least the guy is much more honest, I think than some people seem to believe and generally he can beat any other forecaster, hands down, not all the time of course, but looking ahead in the medium term picture--pretty good.

Anyway, sorry there is a lot of critisim going back and forth sometimes, but I guess that is the nature of the beast. I have not heard what the NWS is going for next week yet--hope things change.

He is right about the next 10-12 days to be above average in temps, After that I don't understand where he is coming from for the rest of the winter, besides comparing it to 94-95 which isn't very accurate at all.

I'm no meteorologist or climatologist, but I'm guessing that we'll see more winters like this going forward due to global warming. It's not going to turn Vermont into Alabama, but N. NE's weather will probably become more like that of Southern NE, Southern NE's more like the mid-Atlantic's, etc.

There will still be cold, snowy winters, but they won't be nearly as common.

Obviously global warming is a real thing. It amazes me that some politicians still believe its a myth just because they don't want to loose the money they get from the oil companies and such. Anyway the temperature has risen 1 degree Fahrenheit in the past 140 years. The weather we have had in the past few years is most likely not a result of global warming (although it doesn't help things) but rather a result of crappy weather patterns, el nino not being kind to us snow lovers, and the pna and noa being all over the place.
