I have the 06/07 B2s and to my understanding the only difference between the B2 and B3 is sizing. I've seen plenty of B3s out there and have been loving my B2s for "all mountain" - I've tackled groomed and didn't find them overly chattery and sufficiently solid, I've done trees, deep powder, bumped up trees and so far I've been pretty happy with them.

ditto

though I am less than impressed with hardpack/ice performance. The edge grip leaves something to be desired.

I would consider the B3 more off piste boards and the B2 a better all mountain ride. This is without riding the B3's though. Purely speculative thought

B2's are tuned just the same as my Volkl's - the Volkls grab ice and perform significantly better. My sample size is small though, only had these skis for this season and have been out on the Volkls once and the B2's five times. I did a comparitive test on some late day skied off terrain at Wildcat and it was night and day.
