It depends a LOT on your sweat rate.

This. I'm a pretty sweaty guy, even when I get the layers just right. I have Smith I/O's and they only fog when I pull the mask up over my nose. It's only a problem on the coldest days. The goggles vent so well that even when I breath in them they clear very quickly. The problems come when it's so cold that my breath (or sweat) freezes to the inside before it has a chance to evaporate.

I was thinking of going the Ruroc route because, like Edd said, it's really about keeping direct wind off my face. Even if I had to wear a neck warmer over my chin that'd be fine. I just don't know if the helmet is worth the price.

I recently bought an Airhole mask and that works really well, but the one I bought is pretty thin and not fleece lined so on super cold days it's useless unless I wear something else with it.

I was thinking about designing a mask with a seal that goes over your nose and under your eyes to keep breath out of your goggles. The problem then is that the mask will get soaked and freeze on super cold days. I'm wondering if a thin dessicant (sp?) pack sewn into the front of the mask would absorb moisture fast enough to keep it dry...

Maybe I'll hit home depot and a fabric store after work and see if I can put a prototype together.

Has anyone used the goggles with the magnetically attached face mask yet? I'm wondering if they have any fogging problems.

Any new info or opinions on these things? I'm still interested, but the prices are still quite high. Anyone have first hand experience?
