Resort or Ski Area: Saddleback

Conditions: PP / Powder

Trip Report: Very Nice day at Saddleback. They got a bunch of snow earlier in the week. The snowmade trails were stellar. Most of the natural off the rangeley skied well but not a lot of fresh outside of Parmacheenee Bell which had stashes. Place to be again was off the NW pass. Governor was awesome and Intimidator glade skied super well with lots of untracked and fresh to be found.

Nice crowd but it was ski-on most of the day. Had to leave early as we had a car key mixup back at home. No biggie as we had some super runs. We are pre-positioned at the in-laws about 1hr from the slopes for the impending snow event. Hoping we get good snow tonight / tomorrow without insane winds. We shall see! 2morrow could be epic fingers crossed!!!

Good air day for the boyz.

We got up there late on Friday but still managed to get in some great runs before close. Yesterday (Chirstmas) was spectacular.
Rather than snowshoe with the family today, I opted to get up to the mountain early. I was on about the 3rd chair when they opened and ripped till 1:30 when it was time to head back here to Portland.
Saddleback is by far my favorite mountain in Maine.

Nice stuff Salsgang! All the young guys must've had a terrific day with that snow...

Didn't get a chance to sample the two feet today. All on Wind Holds. Northeast winds are never kind to Saddleback's lifts. They can handle a Northwest wind better.

Anyway. I gotta go back to work. Price to pay for getting Feb and April school breaks off. Oh well. Should be good skiing for the next few days anyway!
