The new Who is wicked good. Not that the old Who was bad, but the new Who really, really rocks.

SG-1 was burnt out ... they worked the Ori plotline to the bare threads and it just didn't grab, even with Browder and Black together again (loved loved loved Farscape).

I don't get the sci-fi channel but I enjoyed the new version of Andromeda Strain last night and looking forward to the finish tonight on A&E.

That was definately better than I thought it would be(really cool chainsaw scene ;) ). Now it has me thinking about tonight, do I watch the final couple of hours of The Andromeda Strain and watch the season finale of The Deadliest Catch on the DVR or vise versa??

i remember watching the orriginal doctor on PBS on UHF on sunday morning.

farscape was a great show. i wis nbc would let sci fi do there own thing. the fact that they mandated that they need to have more programs that the owned the rights to is stupid. i was very surprised that they picked up doctor who and even sahra jane since they dont own the disro rights.

Your are off the friends list:p Still like the Jack o'niel and general; Hammond verson. We use to get showtime just to watch the show.

We'll like Atlantis as well, but not as much as SG!-1

atlantis has shite story line. the thing that was great about early sg-1 was that it pulled for historical fact. well at least thats what i liked about it.

The story line kind of comes from SG 1, but I agree its just not as good.

For me the end of SG-1 was kind of like the ending of M*A*S*H* to others. Really was something I really enjoyed and looked forward to every week.( the movie is worth getting) Jerry G is a big fan of the Stargate series as well.

Sorry for the hi jack. i use to watch the PBS DR who's. Really have not watched the new ones. Mad at DR Who for taking over Stargate's lead role.:smash:

Agreed. Liked it through the replicators and Anubis, but it was like when they got rid of the replicators and the main Goa'uld threat, they were left searching for a plot line. Both seasons 9 and 10 of SG-1 and Atlantis are too much fantasy for me, not enough sci-fi. Through season 8 you could actually picture some technology being involved with what was happening (minus the use of ascension as a means of killing off and bringing back Jackson,) with a decent history of early Earth culture undertone. The Wraith depart from that a bit, and the Ori I consider pure fantasy, dependent upon higher powers for explanation.

I do like the cast in the Fargate years, though. Claudia Black I'd say is arguably the best actor on the show, and her interactions with both Browder and Shanks kept the show still fairly good despite the loss of plot. Plus there was Hot Ori Chick.

For a while I could catch reruns of Farscape, but only saw a couple episodes. Have considered getting the DVDs.
