Is there a way to have 2 laptops & desktop share a printer if all of the computers are on a wireless connection for the internet. The modem & router are placed in my house away from the computers.

The desktop & 1 laptop is mine, and the other ibelongs to my uncle who uses my internet connection. Currently I leave the USB wire from the laser printer disconnected and all three have the drivers installed so it is just plug it in to the computer of choice and print.

There has to be an easier way to do this. My uncle's laptop has the bluetooth connectivity. What would I need to buy or do to make the laptops print wirelessly?

Thanks

If you can leave the printer connected to one of the computers, say the desktop, you can setup the computer to 'share' that printer. Then, as long as the desktop is on, all computers connected to the network can print to the printer.

There are other ways to do it, but this is probably the easiest. What operating systems are you using?

Get a wireless print server that will connect to the printer via usb. If you want to replace your wireless router all together, I really like the apple airport extreme which acts as not only a wireless router, but also as a print server. It even has a 56K dialup if your broadband goes down. Yes, and as Bvibert asks, what platform are you working with? FYI: The airport express works on both Mac OS and Windows.

EDIT: I just read your post again. I didn't see the part about the router being away from the printer. Ignore my airport express advice.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I like the idea to network my desktop and laptop but I also like the wireless printer server. I think that is the way I may go.
