Trip Report: Awesome day at Shawnee Peak. Loads of PP and soft bumps. Took the day off to attend my son's Middle School state meet. Great Snow, Bluebird Skies, Upper 20's temps and no wind. Perfect!

I took every opportunity between races to ski. Hoo Boy Shawnee has a lot of snow. I have skied Shawnee quite a bit, and I was skiing places I never thought would have enough snow.

Found a great glade from the top of the triple chair I had never skied before.... The Dungeons. Great pitch and nicely spaced trees. They left quite a few trails "natural" so plenty of soft bumps to be had. The East slope bumps held a tremendous amount of snow and the groomers skied perfectly all day.

Never seen it better than it was today at Shawnee. Absolutely Awesome. And to top it off Boy #1 put together some best ever runs in Slalom.

When that day occurs you'll be grinning. I 'm now seeing my eldest GRANDBOY dust both his old man and his grandad too -- IT ROCKS !!!!!

The skiing has been incredible at Shawnee this week. Actually, it has been incredible all season. I can't wait till this weekend so that I can get into the woods. Night skiing is fun but the terrain is limited. The race course was tough last night as the ruts were very deep due to the powder.

We are taking my granddaughter out skiing tomorrow. She will be 3 in April so it is time to get her on skis!
