I woke up this morning with an empty meeting calendar, nothing pressing and I was absolutely sick as a dog. So, I called in sick, called my brother, threw my stuff in the Jeep.. bang @ Sundown for 9:30ish am.

Nor'Easter -> Stinger -> Park for about 75% of our runs..
Nor'Easter -> Exibition for the remainder..

Conditions are great, a bit of patchy ice in the exhibition bumps but they are still really nice for a beginning bump guy.. like me !

Weather was great, warm, sunny, barely any wind at all. Snow was in great shape.. quite litterally NO ICE - Outside of the exhibition bumpage..

Note: Did not run Temptor at all today.. so no clue how they were/are. Though the Nor'Easter section of bumps had good snow, the bumps really seem to be .. for the most part gone.. gone as in ' not bumps'.. still fun to hit though /shrug

Cool. I might be able to get my 7 year old to dip into them tomorrow if they're tame...

Jake and I put in a few hours @ sundown tonight. Arrived to a parking lot full of buses and a lodge full of kids. Conditions on the hill were very good. Just a few minutes wait in the lift lines but that eased as the night went on. Oddly there seemed to be a few lights out around the hill.

Ex bumps were great. i was KILLING IT in the money line down the left side of the bumps.

Best part of the night was that Jake and I conquered our fear of the big jump at the end of Stinger. We hit it 3 or 4 times.. far from nailing it but finally did it.

Heading back tomorrow.

How was Wendys?

disappointing.

Hit the Wendy's in Torrington on the way to Sundown. Pulled into a mostly empty parking lot. Picked a nice spot near a snow pile so i could slide over to make sure the guy on the other side of me didn't ding my door.

Got inside and eyed the menu, no lines and the counter lady called us right up. I needed a few more seconds to figure out my order.. since we were headed to the hill i didn't want to eat too much.. i was really temped by the baconator and contemplated getting a "single" one of those but then turned my attention to the value menu. Jake knew what he wanted so he stepped up and ordered, he went with the spicy chick sandwich meal with a sprite (size large). I settled for 2 jr bacon cheese burgers, small fries and small diet pepsi. was not impressed with the jr bacon cheeses.. dollar for dollar i feel the McDonald's value meal options are better. AND the fries had too much salt on them. (jake agreed).

$13.30 for the two of us. the woman who waited on us was friendly and efficient.

not ordering the double stack is where you went wrong on the value menu. I've also been known to get the crispy chicken sandwich + cheese from the value menu as well. That one baffles me though. The sandwich is 99 cents. Add cheese? buck forty nine.

let us know how your conversation with Dave goes about the fries.
