Good luck and enjoy, you'll never regret it.
I ski bummed in Stowe for the winters of 95-96 and 96-97, then 2000-2001 after college. The first was amazing. As someone said, every night's a Friday night and every day is a Saturday. 95-96 was the best. Me and five other buddies pre-paid for the entire season on a house and saved a bunch money up working on the Cape for the summer. I worked an average of two days a week and skied everyday that winter minus a couple. 96-97 wasn't quite exactly ski bumming. I was living in Burlington and going to school part time, working part time, but still skied 3 days a week.
2000-2001, well, even though I was working more and partying slightly less than my first winter, it clearly was the best for obvious reasons.
Honestly, I wish I had the make up that I could be a starving ski bum forever. I miss it. So, I take what I can get now and hope to retire young and die a ski bum.
