Also... what group discount on trains are we talking about? =P

How do you get from the train station to the resort? How cheap?/convenient?

From RutVegas you could arrange for a hotel to pick you up or just take a taxi(just like in gotham). In the event of a larger group prolly could arrange for a van(not the mini-ones like cash-cab) Its a short enuf ride 2 the hill.
Now for my question. I rember someone mentioned a club that ran a bus to there own place in the warren valley(which 90% of AZers seem to prefer) it was something like merrimac or mahaganadoc. As I recall you could travel as a guest a few times but eventually had to join ($) the club. I've tried searching to no avail.

Help greatly appreaciated.

Let it snow

Theskilift.org, the world and US northeast's first ski rideshare and social network

Need to find rides to mountains in the northeast this winter? Then check out TheSkiLift.org. It's the world's first comprehensive ski and snowboard social networking and carpooling site.

The site is completely free to users, and it takes 1-2 minutes to create a profile. We carry every US resort and over 950 resorts worldwide. You can either make money off rides or find rides with the ability to see the other person’s preferences regarding everything from ability level, to smoking preference, to taste in music.

This is our first season and we are super excited to be able to help make the mountains more accessible, less costly, and do our part to reduce the sketchiness of online carpools. We built this site to help people out, so feel free to make use of it, and spread the word around. TheSkiLift.org....need a lift?

Hey all

I realize this is a really old thread but wanted to reply. My buddies and I have killed ourselves over the years doing what every we could to get to the mountains. So to fix that, we built www.shredshare.org. Its 110% down for the cause. Carpools, community building and sharing the shred. No ads, no sign-up, totally free. With the popularity of uber, lyft, etc. we figure this could be a shot to connect snowboarders and skiers in an effort to save energy and build in-real-life relationships. Please check it out and let us know your feedback. If you get this... :)

Hi deadheadskier,

[I realize this is an old post but after stumbling upon it, I had to jump in.] My friends and I share your pain. We killed ourselves over the years trying to make it to the mountains as often as we could - renting cars, borrowing cars, begging friends, bus trips, craigslist, hitchhiking, etc. And yeah, I've done lots of solo missions also - leave the office, 5pm Friday, battle city traffic, drive all the way up the Thruway to Troy and on to Vermont; barely awake, nodding off, swerving. It sucks. But it had to be done. And yeah, we always wished there was a solid carpool or rideshare platform that worked a bit better than craigslist. So we finally built one. It's called [shred share] - www.shredshare.org.

It's specifically aimed at the North East (for now) and caters specifically to Skiers and Snowboarders in the NYC Metro area looking to go north to VT, NH, etc. And it's 110% down for the cause. No ads, no sign-up and totally free. We just love the shred and want to share it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it if you have sec to check it out. Any and all feedback would be seriously appreciated (jason@shredshare.org). And we're looking for collaborators also. We're starting very small with NYC but want to partner with die-hards in other cities that might want to build out a community.

shred soon,

JGNYC

Hey JG, I'm attempting to access your site but am having some trouble. It connects for a second or two and kicks me back. I did see an internal server error 500 message after my last attempt. Perhaps the error is on my end(not so SmartPhone) Anyway good luck with your efforts! I look forward to utilizing this long overdue resource. Thank You :)

Edit: It seems to be working fine now...
