Not neccasarily true. The past four years I've been able to ski Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in addition to the weekends. Also being at Lyndon State the 10 minute drive to Burke is shorter than the lift ride to the summit which makes it very convienient to make some turns between classes. The only time you are going to be able to ski in college is on the weekends or fridays if you are lucky enough to clear the day.
The only time you are going to be able to ski in college is on the weekends or fridays if you are lucky enough to clear the day. With that said anywhere in northern New England is well within a day trip of many excellent ski areas. I would chose a school that offers your major and is low in cost. Looks like youre from MA, there are plenty of ski areas within a day trips range on UMASS and you can get an excellent education at a reasonable price.
Plymouth State is quite close to Waterville, Loon, and Cannon.

As for drive times:
Burke - 10 mins
Cannon - 40 mins
Jay - 50 mins
Sorry, but I still got 4 years until college.
pro defensive player from the Boston Cannons in now UVM's lacrosse coach.
All the schools mentioned will get the job done. Middlebury, although costly (lots of financial aid though), has a January term, and if you schedule the J-term course correctly, you can ski the whole month pretty easily, even if you don't take a total blow off like............the cult of Bridgette Bardot.
To ski in college midweek, just takes dedication to study at night, when your friends are goofing off. I found with good planning, I could notch 100 day seasons throughout my undergrad, with plenty of tucks time in the spring.

University of Maine - Farmington. Less than an hour to Sugarloaf, Saddleback and Sunday River.
Which one is coaching at UVM? I'm a lax-head. I know a couple of guys that are currently playing for UVM.
Cornell in central New York is only 25 minutes from Greek Peak - not the greatest place
