Well I don't know what category the "snow" would fall under, so I'm going to make up a category, "re-used snow"
The snow was weird, it was ummmm......squeaky. The texture was different, it didn't act like normal snow, and it had been plowed and re-groomed so many times that the corduroy lacked the "strength" to make sharp turns.

I honestly think that Ski Dubai has not redone their snow since they've opened, meaning that they open up all the vents to the hot desert, turn off the AC, and let all the snow melt, and then re-make it. They need to do that, bad! Plus, the main chairlift was closed, I had to take the poma, which took a sharp 90 degree turn, it was honestly harder holding on to the lift as it whipped you around the corner that it was skiing down.

The snow was really dirty too, you might be able to tell from my bottom pic.

The bottom part of the ski "area" was an easy green, the top was a hard green. My business endeavors happened to take me through Dubai, this ski area is only for those suffering from severe jonesing.

Wow, that is really cool that you got to visit that place, even if the snow is odd it still has to be a neat experience. I didn't realize they had a 90 degree turn in the center.

How long have they been open? It's been several years, right?

What did it cost to ski there? Assuming you rented gear?

I think DMC posted a trip report on Dubai a couple years ago.

It was like 80 dollars, but I wanted twin tips so that I could hit the mini-terrain park (on the right of the chairlift), so I had to get demos, making it more expensive. I think I rented for 4 hours, but only stayed two.

Yes it included rentals and "cold weather" gear, which was stupid because it didn't have any pockets so I couldn't store anything including my locker key.

If anyone from this website were to ski there, I guarantee they will turn the heads of the locals there, they aren't used to skiing, nevertheless, snow!
