Ski Mag/Starbucks Survey Episode

Anyone else getting tons of emails from this Ski Magazine/Starbucks survey. It seems that everyone is emailing this one address to unsubscribe and it is going to everyone on their list! People are getting quite pissed.

"This is a violation of my privacy now that everyone has my email address!"

...um no, now that you emailed your complaint, everyone has your email address...congrats!

I'm quite amused.

yeah, I've been getting them and have been contemplating an "E-mail Aliases 101" e-mail to all the folks out there who just don't understand what happened. Out of all the responses, this is probably my favorite, and the one that got me the most riled up.

MAKE THIS EMAIL "PROMOTION" STOP, OR I WILL BE SPEAKING WITH MY ATTORNEY ON TUESDAY, AS WELL AS TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL!

THIS IS NOW, WHAT I CONSIDER, HARASSMENT VIA EMAIL!

All the recipients on your mass email list who are trying to send "unsubscribe" emails back to YOU are sending them to EACH OTHER as well! You have compromised our PRIVACY by sending our email addresses out in the open - they should have been sent as "BCC" (Blind Carbon
Copy) email!! I believe this is a PUNISHABLE offense, and we will begin a class action suit against your company, as well as Ski and Skiing Magazine AND Starbucks if we continue to receive these unsolicited emails!

MAKE IT STOP! NOW.
