bib. no doubt. no cold breeze on the back. easier to clean off after a spill. excuse for when people say you have a gut ("no, that bump in my jacket is my bib" --- i guess you could re-phrase that if you're talking to the right person....).

In my mind, northern New England
Bib in the height of winter, then ski pants in the shoulder season when it's not that cold anymore. I find bibs warmer and I avoid getting snow down my butt when I take a beater on the slopes.
