Had one last night. Wondering if it's because, when I checked my "started Thread" count last night, I saw one titled as above.

So in last night's dream...I was living in this "recurring dream's" house (long story), and it was time to head out for race night.

All my gear was scattered all over the place. Piles of old skis in the barn, poles someplace else. Could not find my ski clothes.

I was glad to wake up. I think I'll sort my gear later today....just to be sure.

*I hate that house in that recurring dream*

No ski dreams right now, but at least I'm not the only one with the "recurring dreams house" that's not mine. I have a recurring dreams school that's not mine, too. Weird stuff...

I've had a bunch over the summer.

Last night it was of some really quality WROD at Killington this weekend, and I had picked up another pair of used bump skies. Graphics were Dynastar, but they were Rossis. Odd.

If i don't make an effort to remember them as soon as I wake up then *poof* they're gone.

Weirdest dream evah . . . dreamt I was on a triple chair lift - in the middle - and where you would normally exit, the chair continues upside down - extremely strange!?!?!?!

P.S. By the way, this is my first post after lurking for, maybe, well, a lot of years:))) Greg will be happy!!!

Not necessarily a ski dream, but some times when I am restless in bed, I focus on the image of me riding up the Summit Quad at Mount Ellen and then taking in the view from the summit before gently skiing down Rim Run...as I go down further I fall asleep. It is relaxing and works well.

I had a dream last night that Brian and I arrived late at a ski area (no idea which one it was supposed to be) and Greg was there. He felt bad for us, so he said if we found accommodations to stay overnight, he'd watch our kids the next day so we could ski together.

Honestly, that was the dream.

Great thread.

I've read a little bit about this and it is often quoted that dreams of being able to fly are often the most exhilirating and fulfilling dreams a person can have. Something about the combonation of the physical sensation/exhiliartion of flying, as well as the mental aspect of concquering something (i.e. becoming able to do something you normally can't).

I have a handful of skiing dreams a year, moreso during the season, and firmly believe that they are the functional equivalant to flying dreams for other people. Often times I am half skiing/half flying, having the ability to spring out of a turn and fly onto another area of the mountain or sometimes from patch of snow to patch of snow. In the spring, there is, often times, grass between the snow patches!

I always wake up refreshed and feeling good. They are just very positive dreams.

The reucurring thing the Severine mentioned...and the last dream before waking thing...too strange.

My dream was "just before waking".

The house in the dream is not one of two, but an odd combo of a former residence and I don't know what.

The first recurring house was...truely a nightmare. Wicked.

The second one is just awful. Unfinished, partially destroyed, but I'm living in it and it's just an odd combination of inaccessable rooms and e-frickin gad I wake up and wait beofre trying to go back to sleep.

Ski dreams...need more of them, except when I can't find MY gear...only scattered piles of antiques.

Last night I was lapping the chin on my bushwackers. There was an old double chair that seemed to service the chin from the bottom of the boot pack with a line of people at it, but it looked like it hadn't run in 50 years. I kept lapping and lapping and they were getting really pissed in the lift line.....really weird. I love the chin. And I love my Bushwacker.

I envy most of your happy dreams, mines a recurring nightmare.
I'll be at the hill, after a dump, no one around and I am dealing with broken gear, or forgotten jacket/pants/boots.
Last week I was at the top of past B.B. Pond and looked at my feet to see dilapidated 2X4's strapped to my feet.
Those dreams always have me waking up in a panic, so much that if I'm skiing the next morning, I'll have to check my gear before I can go back to sleep.
