Trip Report: Mini Pow day in CT!! my buddy and our kids headed up for the day. Roads on the way up were OK just slow going. I’d guess 3 inches had fallen by the time we arrived and perhaps 2-3 more during the day.
The Suburban Sport mogul comp was on so I was looking forward to watching the local bumpers rip up the course. Lift 1 provided a great view and we stopped a few times along the fence to watch. Looked like everyone had a good time.
Suburban had a demo tent so my buddy and I checked out a couple pairs of the new (next year’s?) atomic twin tips. I rode the Alibi and he test drove the Theory. We both liked the skis, I think Jon would have bought the ones he tested if he could have.
Spent the day cruising the hill, chasing our daughters, who’ve grown up to the point where they didn’t want to hang out with us. Conditions were great and while a little crowded (as to be expected) lift lines and trails were not jammed.
stopped to take the above pic and suddenly 3 ski patrollers rolled up (u can see in background) and stared at us until we left. i think they thought we were going to drop into the woods :-D
