Resort or Ski Area: Ski Sundown

Conditions: low 20s. cloudy, man-made snow, bumps

Trip Report: Jake and I pulled into less-crowded-than-expected parking lot around 12:00. Hit lodge to boot up and grabbed my season pass and headed out. Jake was sporting his early Christmas present, new pair of Line Flights, and we were eager to try them out. Mountain was in good shape, tons of snow had been blown and coverage on all the open trails was very good.

Skied most of the open trails.. basically in a rotation of Canyon Run, Nor'Easter, Temptor, Stinger.

Bumps on Stinger were a little funky but there was a good line developing, especially on the 2nd half.. traffic and snow will only make it better.

My knee has been bothering for a few months and i was very worried that skiing would be a problem but was very happy to find no pain at all, even in the bumps

Good first day. Jake really liked his new skis. Saw Brian working but didn't see any AZ'ers on the slopes. Hoping to be back tomorrow for some freshies.

shot some video.. will post if it comes out OK.

I left shortly after 11, didn't want to wear myself out on my first day out. Saw Madroch and family skiing and B roaming aimlessly around the base.

A bunch of dudes are planning to hit S-down tomorrow. I am not sure I'm going to make it; would have to drive through some brutal weather coming from Boston.
