Resort or Ski Area: Ski Sundown

Conditions: Man-made packed powder, low 40s, sunny, and no wind.

Trip Report: I'll keep it fast and photo friendly. Great time today. Nice man-made that softened up with the sun. The wife and I brought our son and took turns today. Kid was a champ and slept the entire time. I took the first 45 min. I hit Nor Easter, Temptor, Canyon Run, and Stinger. I saw bvibert putting up some ropes and said what's up. Next time B, next time. Conditions were real good. Seemed like good coverage. I stink at judging base depths so hopefully my pics will help. After wifey took her turn she was feeling pretty gassed. I was bummed we couldn't make our first turns together but getting her out today got her pumped about the season. I took the last shift and hit Canyon and Stinger twice. Lines got long and we had to get back for the dogs. I was hauling ass today and it felt good. I was working on driving the tips more. Easy to feel the difference.

Greg, sorry man. Not a bump to be seen.

And now some pics...

Glad you guys had a good time. The conditions looked really good, the surface at the base area was pretty soft, in an edgable kinda way, even first thing in the morning. I really wanted to get out after my shift, but it just didn't happen, for one thing I was just too damn tired...

looks like ice will start around 3 PM, as long as it isnt heavy the snow will absorb most of it

I won't be there until between 7 and 8 pm. Never knew you were local, not to mention worked there. You should come out Wednesday nights!

Love the family picture! The little guy is adorable!!! :D Glad your wife is getting bitten by the bug again... she'll have to join Randi and I on one of our estrogen nights. :snow:

The lines got a little longer again this evening (not sure exactly when lift 2 shut down but lift 1 was hopping!). I was over on 3 (Sunnyside) scanning tickets from 5PM-10PM. :D

I mentioned it to my wife and she sounded interested. I'll keep you posted. She wants to get a lesson or two in early season.
