post holing in front of you
The first year I worked in a shop tuning skis I wrecked a customers skis. Nobody told me you had to de-tune the 80 grit belt before you run skis over it. You should see this some time, looks like a snow gun when you run clear bases. 2-3" of fluff in 1.4 seconds. I got about a foot down the shovel of a pair of mint Rossi 4S skis before stalling the machine. Put a 3/16" step in them. Sweet. Anyway I told my boss and I called the customer. We replaced his skis with new ones from another shop as we weren't dealers. Ever since I have made sure to instill in the new shop monkeys to properly condition belts before use.
As far as someone in the shop using your boards and putting them back damaged, I say fire his a**. As a customer you expect to have your property taken care of while it is in the shops care. If this person has done this I'm sure he or she has done shadier things as well. It's an employer's market right now. Shape up or you will find yourself out on your butt. Now, you just need proof beyond a reasonable doubt as to who did it........................

It would be much better if the guilty party just manned up and appologized.

I may catch flack like there's no tommorow for this, but..

WaWa ski shops are like try to get steak at 7-11 in the microwave...

*Flak*

I've had my skis and my family's skis and boards tuned there and never had a problem.

The "your mileage may vary" comment obviously applies, but I've always been treated well there.
