first off let me say that my experience at stratton this year has been nothing short of fantastic. from the super nice staff to the unbelievable skiing i couldn't have asked for much more. i purchased the strattitude pass for 300$ and it was the best skiing deal that I've ever purchased. most of my skiing was done midweek so i didn't experience any of the traffic that stratton is known for. i had pow days, groomer days, park days and everything in between. i love the area and got to learn and love the mountain for all it has to offer. i know that steeps aren't its thing but i can say the glades are magnificent. i explored for hours on end and couldn't get bored if i tried. have a boat load of footage and will make more edits in the next couple weeks. ill start you off with my first 2 videos that are my first attempt at editing anything in my life lol. i do notice that a side mount on a helmet is far better than on top after my most recent trip.

Stratton gets bashed a lot, but I think it's a great mountain. Very underrated trees and some great slopes to let the boards fly if you're into speed.

You can quote me "I like Stratton". I love steeps and I know they don't have them. But I also love glades and Stratton has a some really nice runs in that department. Their grooming and snowmaking is top notch. I love a place a little rough around the edges like Cannon, or a local favorite like Berkshire East, but every once in a while I like to do the resort mountain and Stratton checks a lot of the boxes. Until this season I had a friend who worked there for many years so I skied there several times a season for very little money. I always go midweek when the crowds are low so that really helps my perception of the place.

Thanks guys for the report. I wondered how they made out given the niar that came through. If you want good, consistent, reliable groomers, you can always count on Strat. How were the crowds? Did they trails get scratchy near the day's end?

My wife and I have Sunday passes there this season; we've been impressed as well. They put down a lot of snow early in the season and I believe that in combo with the grooming has helped them get through the not so nice weather spells we had multiple times this year. We also like the length of the runs. When the trails are empty, you can really open it up until your legs ask you to stop.

You can definitely tell they spare no expense when it comes to snowmaking. They are wall to wall on almost every trail and its a deep base. Ive had a couple midweek groomer days and yes you can point em downhill and let it fly. We usually do a ski trip yearly with a bunch of friends and next year we will choose stratton for a bunch of reasons including good terrain for intermediates, shopping, not being in the middle on nowhere, etc. again i cant say enough good things about stratton and i wish i could attend the stratton 24 hour deal. Sounds like a blast
