Yes sir, you nailed it

You better start soon as methinks River and Teach are glued to their monitors, clicking the refresh button every 2/3 minutes, waiting for you to post round #2.

Sweet!
Keep 'em coming. Am ditching work Thursday to follow the snow. Have to get mileage from the ASC pass. Might hit K or Mt. Snow. Never skied Attitash so that's also a possibility.

You aren't missing much by not skiing Attitash. Better to make the extra drive to Sunday River or K-mart IMHO.

5. What is the name of the family that owns, operates, and built Pats Peak? Bonus: what did their family do for work before building the ski area?
Merle Patenaued was the patriarch and bought all the land, and he was a chicken farmer.
Dave was a chicken farmer also
Oscar was a machinist
Joe was a contractor, now a apple grower
Wayne was a well driller
We believe there were two more brothers?

Yep, that is the answer I was looking for.

3. Name all of the resorts that once made up the SKI Conglomerate.
Killington, Pico, Mount Snow, Haystack, Waterville, Sugarloaf, cranmore
Killington: yes (the "K" in SKI)
Pico: I don't know...they might have bought it before selling out to ASC.
Snow: YES ("S" in SKI)
I my memory holds Less owned sunday river, attitash and sugarbush, while SKI owned the above. although i could have attitash, cranmore and waterville mixed i think ski owned 2 and less 1.
ASC was forced to divest cranmore and waterville by the goverment.
Sugarloaf: YES ("S" in SKI)
Haystack: YES.
Waterville: YES.
Cranmore: I did not know that...will have to check on that as well...
There is one missing for sure that no one has mentioned: it was a long time ago as well. Hint: think of ASC history...this was a resort prospect that was owned by SKI before selling it to a SKI Manager in training.
