I asked Brian and he said it does not qualify as a trip report.

Put the kids in the car and drove the 11 miles to take a peek at what's going on at Mohawk. I wasn't the only one. A couple other lookie-loos showed up while I was there. :D

Mounds of snow on just Arrowhead. They weren't linked (due, I'm sure, to some meltage from the recent rise in temps)... and the rain that poured out of the sky after I left surely didn't help. If they do open this weekend, it looks like it will be with just the 1 trail. Still, it was exciting to see some progress!

Thanks for the pics! From the looks of things with another night or two of snowmaking and some spreading of the wealth things looks good to go for the weekend. BTW, I did receive official word yesterday that Saturday instead of Friday will be opening day at the Hawk.

Wish I could go Sat night but I have to work. :( I may try to work something out to go during the day, though, if there's time. Or Sunday. It's not much, but it's something!! :snow:

Lots of guns...Won't take them long.

I thought the same thing; that is a lot of guns - fan guns too. I counted 22 in the picture alone, wow. Guess you really need them down in CT, although the need is the same here in MA, if not greater. Last year was a good example of the snow advantage up north: 20-25 inches at my local area, Blue Hills; 300+ (?) in Northern Vermont...

Nice, I am looking to get out to the mountain and do some boarding. I don't know if I will be able to make it this weekend or not though lot going on. If the temps stay low though, next weekend looks good to me.

That is a lot of fan guns. I'm fairly certain that Sundown doesn't have anywhere near that many fan guns, I think they have like 5 or 6. They mostly have the HKD towers.
