I noticed the same thing when I saw a pic from that location last week (maybe the same pic). Seemed kind of strange to me to be starting snowmaking operations under the new lift before it's finished...

Yeah I can't figure that one either.

At 110 psi I hope for their sake they were flying squirrels.

I'd be getting worried at 110. I'd like to keep it >120psi! Makes for better squirrel throwing. Not to mention keeps things a little more comfy and in the green for snowmaking. 130psi is great. 120 is fine. 110 is getting low. Below 100 and we've got problems! That's when the squirrels get stuck in the hydrants, and we have to kill some guns.

Gee and all this time I thought ice condensed inside the air line creating a potentially explosive situation. A compressed squirrel will become flying as long as the psi is like you say around 130. As long as that's the case, guess it doesn't much matter what type they are before. I used to make snow and it was great when the system hummed right along at -20. Cold and dry enough so you can practically cut the air back a smidge to increase volume but not increase wetness. That requires ideal super cold/dry conditions though. Now that I think about it, SL's system did run at 120. . . maybe more now.
