Yeah, yeah, I know, ski season is not over yet, but it's close. I hope to get a couple of more days in, but do plan on starting my transition today. I'll be:

  • Walking, eventually jogging
  • Biking
  • Hiking
  • Hopefully rollerblading.
  • Camping
How about everyone else?

Let's see, first I think hubby and I will start off with a vacation to the Carribean at the end of April(5th anniversary), then work around the house, exercise(ie eliptical maching and total gym), biking, kayaking, camping, hiking, swimming, visiting friends, and family. Not necessarily in that order. Oh and probably more work on the house, both inside and out.

I'm pretty active crewing sailboats, hopefully do a couple of regattas in Newport and elswhere in New England. Other than that my weeknight series on the Great South Bay of Long Island and Some LI Sound racing seem to be in order.
I know "SkiQuattrro" does some of the same I'll probably run into him on the shores of Manhasset Bay this summer.

Besides the racing I want to get out more on my own boat with my Friends and Family. With the weather warming up I'm getting antsy about getting my boat wet.

Hmmm besides no school?
GF passing the bar while I work a great firm..
Epic walks the length of philadelphia and a few weekends hiking in PA's great state parks.
A trip to either lake Placid to knock a few peaks off the list of 46 or Colorado to knock off a 14er OR a trip to Valle Nevado in August to feed the addiction.

First thing on the agenda is getting off of the crutches and learning to walk again. After that, some light hiking, hopefully I can add uneven terrain by the end of Summer/Early Fall.
I'd like to get on my bikes, probably starting out by using one of those doohickies that effectively turns it into a stationary bike. I'm figuring since its really hilly around my house, the road bike may have to wait until the end of Summer/Fall assuming I can get enough strength back into my right leg. I should be able to to take the hybrid out on some of the easier trails like the Airline, since its flat and the pack is relatively firm. Although, I'll probably start on the Farmington River Canal trail, since its paved.
Probably some camping, I can still do that while a bit lame.
Training the puppy. He's 12 weeks, and is starting to make a lot of progress.
Got a few projects around the house I'd like to get to. Thankfully, none are critical, so we're taking a wait and see approach.
Depending on my mobility, I may get out and do some sailing with the folks.
And, as always, we'll be taking the Labor Day pilgrimage to L.L. Bean for back to school etc.. This year, I think we're going to take a week in the MWV
before hitting Freeport.

get my arthroscopy done to repair the meniscus and clean up the knee and get the hardware removed from my tibial plateau fracture last year (10 screws and a plate)
that means more down time on crutches, but hopefully will get function back in the knee and eventually get to ski again.

Concentrating on getting the back to recover. Maybe some biking and hiking? Depends on doctors orders. I have a few house projects but nothing that can't wait another year if required. Mostly getting healthy for next ski season! Oh and probably drinking a beer or two along the way!

Thanks, Andy!

I'm attacking PT about as aggressively as possible, I fully intend on besting the doctor's estimates.

excellent attitude, Paul - love it!

this summer, I will also be on the rehab kick. Hoping to have full range of motion back by around the July 4th holiday. That should allow me to get in some golf this summer. Rehab will probably consist of some time at the gym, lots of walking around the lake (Lake Quannapowwitt, about 3.5 miles around, >1 mile walk from my house) and hooking my bike up to a trainer and riding at home. Also looking forward to any activities we can do with the twins. We haven't gotten them up to our place in NH yet, but we're planning on getting them up there over July 4th and Labor Day weekend. It should be a blast hanging out with them in Schouler Park and just having some fun.

Summer, eh? Got a few big projects around the house planned. First will be a pretty decent sized masonry project in front of the house - retaining walls, steps and a sidewalk. I also would like to rework the railings on our upper deck and also treat the entire deck. Aside from that, there will be some additional landscaping, plantings, shrubs, etc.

Hope to get some day hikes in. Maybe even a backpack in the fall. The family will go to the Cape again for a week as well as our annual Labor Day cooler camping trip. The youngest is running around like lunatic now so it should be fun chasing her around all summer...

Besides caring for a newborn...

*walking/hiking

Hopefully I'll get in a bike ride or two, but that will only happen if someone can watch the kiddos. Baby will be too young for the bike trailer.
