Resorts are starting to experiment with social media. I noticed on Cranmore's Facebook page a note posted on 12/24 indicating that if you "rsvp'd" that evening, you could get a $25 dec 25th ticket.
Stowe did a December 24th over a 12 hour drawing for free tix and lodging.

Jay has done this for a few years using it's opt-in email list.

It will be interesting to see how this trend evolves.

As I just posted to the skiing-on-the-cheap thread (before seeing this one), Bolton Valley is doing a "Secret Twitter" $15 off thing for skiing until 8 tonight. Worth monitoring all these areas' efforts with social media.

Okemo did a promo to for Facebook Friday....tickets were $15 or something like that....I went out and became Fans of all the ski areas in the East! Never know what kind of deal they might throw out there!!
