After skiing Rime all day with the bumps. I am still sore today. My quads and glutes are revolting on me. I have been working out since Sept. on core and legs. Boy, nothing beats getting out there and skiing.

Anyone else sore?

My shoulders are killing me today! Not from skiing, but from raking leaves yesterday. They're just about all done now, so I'll be ready for some snow soon.

that's interesting. I knocked off 132 bags over 10 days and it's my lower back and quads that are killing me, probably because I have to bag them all.

132 bags!!! YIKES!! Get a decent Mulching mower, which will grind and pulverize the leaves right down to only a few bags.

That's because I had some help. I raked it up into piles, and got my two sons to do the bagging. So my shoulders were doing all the work. I would feel sorry for the kids doing all the lifting, but I asked them this morning if they were sore, and they both said nope. Ah, to be young again...

Spent the weekend doing leaf duty as well. Lower back was hurting Sunday am but worked thru it Sunday and today am doing just fine. About 85 % done so feeling a bit ahead of schedule (Leaves seem to be down 1-2 weeks earlier then usual). If I can wrap it up this week (I should) the skis and ski clothes come out to be prepared for the season this coming weekend. Hoping for a Thanksgiving weekend start.

I tried that. transferring the mulch in the bags was more trouble and expense than it was worth.
I try to rationalize the work as (fair) exercise for skiing.

No, but jealous!

Sore monday's at work, each painful step/moment with a bit of weekend snow memory attached to it and a sh1t eating grin across your face....

chomping at the bit here...

I do have a grin when moving for both reasons.

in a lot of pain here. interestingly i can always ski additional days. it's just the going back to work thing. more than anything i think it's the ride. cramming my body into a car for almost 5 hrs is really the problem. if they'd just perfect beaming already i'd be fine ...

Had a great day Skiing Killington yesterday with fellow Sugarbush skiers. While I skied from opening gondola to closing I am thankfully not sore! I was 3 weeks ago after the Sunday River trip. Guess I got the kinks worked out then :) Did my raking on Friday and worked all day on Saturday so I could ski the warmer day..Sunday!

Will re-start my snow dance mid-week!

I'm looking forward to that first post skiing induced soreness of the season. Hopefully I can get out soon!

Skied Saturday, raked Sunday, sore Monday. Still a little sore, surprised my back was in as bad shape as it was. Must be hinging again.

Still wicked sore today after skiing Killington on Friday. It's a good sore, mostly in the legs, but it makes moving around difficult...

Jealous I couldn't get out this weekend. Psyched for those who did.

On the other hand, I'll let you know how sore I am on Friday after 5 consecutive days at the Rivah. If I don't get bored on the 2 1/2 trails they have open first.....unless they blow snow all night every night this week and open some new stuff, which, looking at the forecast is entirely possible.

That being said, days 1 and 2 back in October didn't seem to leave me sore, a bit stiff maybe, but certainly not sore.
