I'm pretty sure that several years ago when they were expanding instead of selling they made a big pitch to buy Hunter. The deal came close to getting done, but in the end the Slutskys walked away from alot of money on the table. Remember DMC or JimmyG?

I wouldn't doubt it at all...they probably looked at a lot of other places as well such as Cannon, Sunapee, etc.

IMHO Huntah would have been a good investment...get the NY crowd stoked, then ship 'em through the pipeline to other ski areas that you owned.

Hunter probably would have been a good buy- the development that's going on now could have made some serious cash 5 years ago.

Long live the Slutsky's! Yes, they told ASC to take roughly $50 million and go away, they aren't selling. That was roughly 5-7 years ago.

Selling would have been a huge mistake, from my point of view anyway.
