Very scary and it hits home for me.I was caught in a slide snowcat skiing BC in the Monashees 3 years ago.Luckily only buried chest deep but my pants ended up pretty wet!

To be fair, there was plenty of wanring given regarding unstable conditions. Of course it was very good they had their safety equipment, but the accident still should have been avoided. It sounds as though there was quite widespread instability.
