Yes, especially in L/B Cottonwood Canyons in the upper parts of the ski areas. They often have some incredible April snow dumps! Last year Snowbird closed their lifts on JULY 4th! They had 697" (over 58 feet) of snow last season. As of today, Alta's settled snow depth is 137" and the snowfall for the season stands at 395". March tends to have the heaviest dumps, so there is more to come! Have your Dad PM me, and I can make some good suggestions for lodging, etc.. I was out there in Jan, and am going again at the end of next week.

Spring skiing in UT is somewhat limited as most of the UT resorts close in mid April with the exception of Snow Bird. I have skied UT in late March and had great skiing, but it was what I consider 'winter skiing' versus 'spring skiing'.

Last year in April, 3 foot dump over night. We always hit Alta and Snowbird in March when it's pounding. April was a fluke for us, but when it's good.....you go.
