Stagecoach Ski Area Colorado looking to reopen in 2017

Pretty cool. The area has been closed since 1974.

I'm sure that Steamboat is not very happy about that news... But still cool to see an old place come back to life.

Maybe. It also might benefit them though. A lot of people choose the front range areas so they can hit multiple mountains. Steamboat is a fairly long drive from other ski areas. Having two in the area may help. Stagecoach looks like it will be fairly small, but I know if I traveled to Steamboat I'd likely try it for a day.

Cool. Looks like they intend to keep it low key. We don't see new ski areas opening everyday. The last one was Cherry Peak in Utah last year.

Great news, always thought this ski area was big enough that someone else could be willing to give it a shot.
