Conditions:
Monday AM - frozen/loose granular on groomed, what I think were natural snow trails being a little softer; frozen granular on ungroomed.

Monday PM - snow throughout the day led to a soft covering on top with a noticeable crust underneath

Sunday - hard packed on groomed, some powder with a crust on ungroomed/woods; similar to Monday PM

Brief summary: Due to the rain Sunday, Monday AM was icy and not very good. Stuck mostly to groomed trails. Most of the natural double diamonds were closed, and I didn't seriously consider going into the woods. It snowed all day Monday so it got better as the day went along. Monday afternoon I did one run in some woods and some ungroomed trails. Some powder on a crust. On Tuesday I did more runs in the woods and natural snow trails. A crust underneath, but enough snow on top to have fun. As for woods I stuck to Goat woods, Bypass woods, and Nosedive glades and a few other woods areas nearby trails. Nothing overly exciting like the Chin, but it looked like there were some tracks heading up there.

Pictures. Only have a few. All are from Monday.

I was at Stowe Sunday through Tuesday. Sunday AM was nice as the snow was soft due to warm temps. The rain didn't come until the afternoon and it was really just a drizzle so it didn't effect conditions too much. Monday AM was icy but by lunchtime it was snowing pretty hard and conditions improved by the hour. Stuff that was icy in the AM was covered with 4-5" of fresh in the afternoon. Tuesday was firm but very skiable. Most of the grooming left little ice cookies but nothing my 6-year old couldn't handle. Since I was skiing with the family mostly skied blues on both mountains (not that I'm a double-black diamond skier anyway - groomed single blacks are my runs of choice, when available).

BTW, first trip to Stowe and loved it.
