I am a frequent visitor to Stowe, and there are many choices, but I'll list a few favorites:

Breakfast: The Gables Inn

Pub Fare & Microbrews: The Shed

Italian: Trattoria La Festa

Favortie Apres Ski: The Matterhorn

And just went to this fabulous new Latin American spot: Santos-It was excellent!

All on Mountain Road. Let me know if you need anything else.

In my mind, northern New England
Breakfast: Dutch Pancake House - The Dutch Pancakes are more like crepes. Good stuff!

Dinner: Mr. Pickwick's Pub - We had the steak and kidney pie and the Beef Wellington. Very good! Great beer selection.

The Stowe Mountain Lodge has a restaurant on the ground floor right beside the gondola. May be worth a try. we didn't get to it but next time, definitely.

All good suggestions, yes Mr. Pickwick's is a great English Pub. On a more upscale note there is the Hourglass at Stowe Mtn. Lodge, and Cliff House for lunch at the top of the Gondola. They also serve special dinners on most Saturday night, including the Gondola ride. Just so many choices, have fun. Just came back from there last week, heading back early March. Enjoy! (But do try Santos-it's like Manhattan dining without the huge pricetag). I don't think they have a website yet, but they do have a page if you are on Facebook.:daffy:

Last weekend's itinerary. Just the facts. You be the judge.

Breakfast at Solstice Restaurant @ Spruce - Uber good food and service was outstanding. Buffet is $18. Decide for yourself.

Dinner - Marsala Salsa, Waterbury. Sure, it's a hoof from Stowe town, but it's inexpensive and very, very good Mexican. Vegan and Carnivore. Good place to save some dough, and you won't need a reservation.

Dinner - Fridas - Very creative Mexican (see a pattern here?) moderately priced. Gets very busy by 630 (wait for table after). Everything we ordered was delish, but the entree selection is a little limited.

Remember, Sat. nights require a dinner reservation at the most popular places.
You can checkout most menus online if you're on the fence.
