Spent some quality time at Stratton on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. Out of the two days, Thanksgiving gets the nod due to the cooler temps and lower volume of people.
Both days had 13 trails open. That equated to about 4 ways down to Ursa and one to the base. So on Friday, things got tight as more people came up.
Thursday, things skied well for early season. A consistent surface with scratch on the pitches. Pretty similar for Friday, but more sun. Friday, I really enjoyed the lower half of Frank's Fallline; a great section to really open up and lay some trenches if there are not a lot of people around. Due to the crowds, we peeled of early. No real lifelines, bit trails were busy.
Fun start to the season!
