Trip Report:

Got up to the lodge about 10am, used my freebie ticket from Stratton. Base temp was 36 at 10am, 45 at 2pm when i left. Taking the Gondola up for my 1st run was a little strange, i rode alone and didnt see a sole in sight. I took down Upper Wanderer and finally ended up on lower Wanderer back at the Gondola, there was some ice due to all the shade. I went up the Gondola again and took a left and discovered Black Bear which turned out to be the run of the day, all in the sun, not too slushy, i did this run about 5 more times off the Ursa Express, then it was on to Grizzly bear twice, again icy all the way down to the Gondola, My last run of the day was the same as my first but i decided i really wanted to feel pain so i didnt stop from top to bottom this time, it wasnt too bad, but i knew i was done when i got to the bottom.. There were many instances of rocks, twigs and other debree on the trails, the snow is barely holding up, a few more warm days and i cant see them keeping top to bottom skiing going. But it is what it is and it was free, i maybe saw 50people all day on the hill and only once sat with someone else on a lift.
