Purposely made a late start from the north of Brattleboro compound. It was rainy (37F) the entire way up Rt 30. In the parking lot, it was hinting towards a slight mix. By the time we booted up and geared up it had changed over. Sweet.
First lift ride up was ice pellets, then it changed to snow. Trails were nice just before lunch, soft, edgeable and fairly quick considering. Things slowed down a bit once the wet snow starting sticking to the trails.
We did a few runs around Shooting Star, then went to the main mountain. Work Road was almost untracked and fun.
People were busy watching the pond skim, so the lifts were ski on for the most part. Avoided the Gondi since that actually had a line.
Hit the woods off Work Road later in the afternoon. It was a little sketchy. A few bare spots under the fresh snow. But hey, woods in late March.
