Stratton has been getting alot of run in here lately. I don't recall any AZer ever mentioning being a passholder there or even a semi-regular. If anyone is one or the other I'd like to hear the reasons you go there. Stratton takes alot of negative hits, but they get alot of skier visits so lots of people like it there. Anybody here?

Well, we are not regulars, but in my research, they do have a Sunday only pass for $250. Not a bad deal. Maybe other places should offer the same pass.

I'm not a passholder but I did do 4 days there this season out of a pathetic 12 thus far. It;s a decent mountain. a great place to do some cruising and to build the confidence of beginner and intermediates. The Blacks would be are mostly blues elsewhere. it;s alot like Okemo who many consider to be inferior to Killington. no surprise they teamed up to offer a season pass together. it looks like they did an awesome job with the pipe and the parks. they had a competition on saturday.

i probably wouldn;t seek out a trip to stratton unless something very favorable came my way. Let's face it, there are better mountains out there if you are looking for exciting terrain. on the plus side, at 4 1/2 hours, it;s one of the closest VT resorts to NYC. i went there mostly because my skiklub setup 2 trips in the past 2 months. this past weekend, lodging at the Inn at Stratton plus 2 day lift ticket was 139 dbl occu, 109 quad occu. it;s like practically giving the lift tickets away! I also got 1 free breakfast at the Stone Chimney Grill-9.95 value. woohoo!

i figure most people don;t like the prices. or that it seems to cater to the "big city crowd". it wants to be "Vail or Deer Valley East". the high lift ticket prices probably discourage day trippers and keep the crowd down lower than they used to be. I used to have issues getting a parking spot, now I notice the extended lots are mostly empty.
