Knew there were lots of piping upgrades to the feed lines over the summer but really impressed with the IMHO perceived increase in production. The conditions for laying it down couldn't be better but, this year could be one of the largest and fastest expansions on hardened terrain that I can remember at Stratton. I've been peeking in on their web cams. This cold shot has been a good kick start to the season and an AC and fresh push of cold will help. Got to drop the wife at Newark Airport 4 am on Sunday and hoping to turn the car north and get a day at Stratton. Decently long drive for a day trip (have done longer but not in a while) but if I have to be up that early might as well put the day to good use.

What is the timeframe on URSA again? I read midweek somewhere but forget if that was midweek this week or next.

If they cant get ursa running maybe they can do a limited sunbowl opening. No services just the lift and shooting star to open that side.

If they get a another foot from this midweek storm and lake effect they should be able to open some naturals over there.

Planning on a Magic Saturday / Stratton Sunday weekend with the kiddos to shake out the legs

With no Ursa, what is likelihood gondola and Snowbowl go on wind hold tomorrow afternoon/Friday morning? Winds start out ssw in morning tomorrow then major shift to West in afternoon and Friday morning big gust and sustainded wnw 25? my plan as of now was leave first thing AM and then choose Killington or Stratton based on snowreport/wind but if wind is bad as it looks for Friday and those temps, maybe head up tonight and just focus on tomorrow for now. First day today, upper mountain was soft on the edges, hit the woods off upper wanderer a few times, lower mountain had heavy snowmaking, they really line up those new guns everywhere so it was a little wet but the stuff around the mid mountain lodge was clear of that today. Great to be on boards again.

stratton’s ready to pour it on.

12/4 - 4PM - We hope you enjoyed the mountain today. We are looking forward to snowfall overnight and through tomorrow. With that being said, prepare for skiing and riding 10 new trails tomorrow bringing the mountain total to 41 trails with 29 groomed. We will continue blowing snow throughout the night into tomorrow.

Stratton had 147 acres today on their way to 200. Okemo 157. Mt Snow 57 ( was shocked by that) and poor Sugarbush, 12. Magic may have more terrain open Saturday unless they can really expand terrain. Plan to ski Friday, hope it dumps.

Might get close to a foot from the current storm. Sounds like it's trending upward. Heading there this weekend.

Sugarloaf is probably the only other one, and Jay will catch up quick if they decide to run the Bonnie.
